Beautiful::Africa

One of the highlights at the end of 2008 was the graduation of 10 of our 58 Little Feet Pre-schoolers. What a joy to see them neatly and proudly dressed in their graduation garb! Graduation day, witnessed by their teachers, parents and staff at Beautiful Gate was a joyful (and nervous for some) time for the children.

These children come from very difficult social and economic conditions in the community around us. It was therefore a joy to see them having the opportunity to graduate from a well run, loving and purposeful  preschool. As they received their graduation certificates (their tickets to “Big school” for 2009), we again realized our responsibility to build into these children the character and traits necessary for them to excel in the future.

Their development at this age is an opportunity we should not take lightly and we seek to continually improve our standards and care.

This year we will have 50 children in the pre-school and 8 of these will be children residents from Beautiful Gate. As adoptions open we hope some of these will be going into families, opening spaces for other children from our community.
