Beautiful::Africa

I’ve taken a few trips in my day, but none that required 27 hours to get from point “A” to point “B”. I have to admit the thought of that is a bit daunting. But, oh, the rest of the things crossing my mind…. sweet. I can’t express how excited I am to go. It’s 9:00 pm and we’re only 6 hours away from getting started and I can’t settle down enough to finish packing.

But yeah, this is a trek, not a trip. A trek. A really fast, back-and-forth, drink-in as much as you can and soak-it-all-in-like-a-gigantic-sponge trek…

So, in as much as I have very little clue what to expect, I’m hoping to provide some observations as we go and maybe post a few photos along the way.

First, though, I’d better finish packing.
