Once you are well outside the main city area, the landscape changes and shepherds become familiar sights. They are everywhere in Lesotho. They’re herding sheep and cattle to various pastures that are available for their use.

There are few fences here, so the land seems wide open. A local chief assigns pasture rights to the shepherds so everyone knows where they can go with their animals.

Greeting from your favorite Canadian and her three girls!!! Wow, what an amazing experience you and Brad are having. I am here in Buffalo, NY with my parents and they showed me your blog! Very neat! I hope you all have an awesome rest of the week. Can’t wait to hear all about it in a few months when we are in Cali for Christmas. Say hi to Brad from us!
